A special place between Tirol and Salzburg

On a sunny plateau 1,600 meters above sea level between Tyrol and Salzburg lies the village Königsleiten. It is surrounded by the Kitzbühel Alps in the north and the Hohe Tauern mountains in the south and the Zillertal Alps in the west. Thanks to its southern orientation, Königsleiten has a lot of sun the whole year.

The Hohe Tauern National Park has an impressive mountain scenery - with hundreds of kilometers of "natural beauties" for hiking, mountaineering and nature experience. The world-famous Krimml Falls are only 8 km away.

The Durlaßboden reservoir is not only a popular recreation destination with boat rentals and beautiful beaches, but also forms the border with Tyrol's Ziller Valley. There you find well known places like Mayrhofen or Finkenberg, the reservoirs as Schlegeis or Zillergründl, the Hintertux glacier or the Zillertal High Road on you.

National Park rangers, outdoor specialists or also the hotel owners love to show you around and explore the most beautiful places around Königsleiten.

Allergy and asthma sufferers enjoy the pure mountain air and be the cure at the waterfall a little healthier every day.

Children experience their adventure day at the Blue Lake, look for emeralds in the Habach Valley or start a family hike with horse and pony.
