The exceptionally fine mist from the Krimml Waterfalls, consisting of aerosols in the nano range, has been scientifically shown to help relieve the symptoms of allergic asthma. For more than 15 years, the Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg has conducted medical and physiological research directly at the waterfalls.
An internationally recognised clinical study has shown that, after spending time at the waterfalls, many participants remained almost symptom-free for up to four months, with the beneficial effects lasting even longer for a large proportion of them.
