The Durlassboden reservoir in Königsleiten marks the border with Tyrol’s Zillertal valley and is a popular destination offering swimming, a sailing and surfing school, a playground, and barbecue facilities. A particular highlight is the beautiful circular trail along the shoreline, which offers superb views of the Hohe Tauern mountains and the Zillertal Alps and glaciers. The route is also well-suited for a short bike ride (approx. 1.5 hours), with several places to stop for refreshments along the way. Please note: a one-way system is in place; cyclists must ride in a counter-clockwise direction.
